So it’s been about 2 years since I fawned over the Gorillaz on my Tumblr page, so I figured now was good a time as any to catch up on my favorite animated band.

Murdoc tweeted the above image as a teaser to the two collaborators with the Gorillaz on their upcoming single for Converse shoes (like the amazing track Matt & Kim pulled together with Andrew WK and Soulja Boy). The man on the right was quasi-confirmed to be Andre 3000 (Converse’s website accidentally released the full image with the two collaborators viewable, but then immediately took it back down, and trying to find a copy of that image online is balls hard).

Given what both the Gorillaz and Andre are known for musically, and who is currently hot in the music scene, I’d like to hazard a guess that the man on the left will end up being Reggie Watts. The silhouette does kinda look like him, and he had been posting images from the UK in the last few months on his Tumblr.

There is also gonna be some Jamie Hewlett designed Converse shoes in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Gorillaz first album. So, I know what I’ll be wearing on my feet the rest of the year.
